Ajmer is famous for the very holy dargah of Moinuddin Chishti, a Sufi saint who resided here in his tomb between 1192 and 1236 AD. Ajmer shrine is a very beautiful place where one can visit. Akbar fort museum was built by King Akbar in the 16th century and serves the same cause as the dargah. It also has a mosque located near it.
